Since its inception, ONA has been a leader on human rights issues that affect not only our members, but all members of our society.
As an ONA member, your collective agreement protects and gives you the right to equal treatment and freedom from discrimination and harassment because of personal characteristics including race, ancestry, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age or disability.
In February we celebrate Black History Month, and we want to acknowledge and honor the rich contributions, resilience, and excellence of Black communities and members. This is a time to learn, reflect, and continue fostering inclusivity and equity in all we do.
Durham Region's First Black Health and Wellness Day: The Ontario Black Nurses Network is part of the planning team for this event. See additional information on the flyer below.
Empowering Black Youth for a Healthier Future: The Blood Donation and Stem Cells Pathways. The event is being hosted by the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Canada and the Ezra Marfo Cancer Foundation.
