ONA80 is proud to host a special Nursing Week educational exhibition recognizing the pioneers, trailblazers, advocates, and nursing leaders who transformed health care and helped shape the future of nursing in Canada and Ontario.
This interactive exhibition will highlight the evolution of nursing within Canada’s health-care system and the important contributions of nurses, union advocates, policy leaders, educators, and equity-deserving groups who helped advance the profession.
The exhibit will feature historical and contemporary perspectives on:
- nursing pioneers and trailblazers
- labour and union advocacy
- Indigenous nursing leadership
- internationally educated nurses
- policy and patient-care advocacy
- the evolution of nursing in Canadian hospitals
- preserving nurses’ rights while maintaining excellence in patient care
Attendees will have an opportunity to explore approximately 10 educational exhibits and connect with colleagues while reflecting on the legacy and future of nursing in Ontario and Canada.
Light refreshments and door prizes will be offered to attendees.
All ONA80 members and guests are welcome to attend.
