War Conflict Update

October 12, 2023
We are deeply saddened by unspeakable and horrific terror attacks commenced on Israel at the end of last week.  It inflicted war on the entire region affecting millions of people in the region and across the globe.

Rising human lives toll is causing a big deal of anxiety and grief. It adds additional palpable stress to many of our fellow members and their families.

Our hearts go to all who have lost their loved ones or were injured, lost their homes, and we extend our empathy and heartfelt compassion to all our members and their families.

Supporting each other during troubling times makes big difference and we are here for you. Please reach out to your ONA Executive should you need union assistance.

Members in the Hospital Sector have unlimited mental health benefits for full time and should certainly utilize any help that we may need. Part time and full time colleagues may also consider using resources available through their Employee Assistance Programs.

Canadian Blood Services members please visit Intranet “Connect.” Staff can go to the “About You” drop menu and click on “Your Wellbeing.”

Please contact Serge Ganzburg, Local Coordinator, if you want to share any information. If you have any questions, please contact your Bargaining Unit President.
